TCGroup is a design specialist providing quality and cost effective consulting engineering and related professional services. TCGroup’s flexibility, versatility, and adaptability in combination with a finely tuned focus on client’s needs help our clients manage the dynamics of change successfully.
In 1996, the company changed its name to TCGroup. TCGroup was incorporated in 1993 under the name of Triad Consultants. TCGroup’s core disciplines are Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls. Cost Estimating and Control, Scheduling, Planning, Project Management, and Design Build Services.
TCGroup is a process-centered organization. We believe that by utilizing the “team” approach each staff member will look beyond his or her own discipline to understand the entire company process and focus on quality results for our clients. TCGroup’s staff thinks like owners and has “collective responsibility”. Therefore, each person is directly responsible for making sure our clients get what is promised.
Our interactive process and overall teaming approach includes clients/users, designers, specialty consultants and representatives from regulatory agencies. Our specialty design teams combine proven and new technologies to achieve functional, individualized solutions for each client.
TCGroup believes that it is imperative to invest in and commit to technology to maintain a reputation as a cutting-edge office. We feel this levels the field with some of the bigger players within the industry, while maintaining the integrity of a smaller shop. In recent years, more 20-person firm’s technology investment has been going into training and support. Investing in technology support enables TCGroup to compete with larger firms by offering an expanded scope of services.
A challenge for the process and power industry is the effective use and management of technical drawings for plant projects on their internal Intranets and the Internet. TCGroup recognizes the power of networking technology a tool for information sharing in the industry’s global environment – particularly for project engineering teams, clients, construction contractors, and operations and maintenance departments.
Over the past several years, we have developed a Project Management System integrated with Project Intranet web sites. TCGroup’s secure Internet site can be accessed by project team members, regardless of their location. Our engineering partners can view the design documents without utilizing someone to print and mail the documents. Or a set of review drawings can be reviewed by our client without disrupting the production process by plotting and sending the drawings via express mail.
TCGroup’s concept is different from the traditional Design Company. It is based on pursuing and performing small complex projects with qualified, experienced engineers. Most engineering companies are interested in the major expansions and are reluctant to commit resources to small projects. At TCGroup the philosophy is to be the preferred subconsultant or an extension of the client’s technical staff. Our goal is to pursue long term relationships, not projects.
